How NC Teamship Showcase Works

Team Up
Teamship groups students from across the state into diverse problem-solving teams of 4 students each.

Launch
Teams meet online to build their team dynamic and interview their business partner to better understand the business problem and context.

Solve
With support from their coach, teams hold in-person meetings to work together to understand the root problem, test potential solutions, and create a solution proposal for the business partner.

Pitch
Teams propose their solution to the business partner and answer questions in a live workshop attended by community stakeholders, school partners, and parents.

How NC Teamship Showcase benefits you
The showcase follows the format of a District C Teamship cycle, but enhances the experience through more time to understand the business problem and develop a solution. The showcase is designed to:
⚬ Practice and refine other District C tools not usually coached on Launch Day
⚬ Refine and further build core tools you learned on your first Launch Day
NCSSM Durham Campus
The second week of the program is hosted on NCSSM Durham campus. Students will be housed (with a roommate) on-campus in NCSSM’s residence halls and will be overseen by NCSSM Summer program counselors.
⚬ Meals will be provided
⚬ NCSSM Summer program staff also provides optional evening activities
